In a short time, Fundación Phabian has accomplished the following:
Provided essential supplies such as insulin pump materials and continuous glucose monitoring sensors through our community.
Created real, accessible, and heartfelt educational and emotional content for social media.
Established partnerships with professionals including nurses, nutritionists, and counselors for future educational clinics.
Launched the path toward high-impact community events, such as the Type 1 Diabetes 5K + Family Day, scheduled for November 15, 2025.

To provide educational, emotional, and practical support to individuals diagnosed with type 1 diabetes—especially children and their families—promoting a full, informed, and dignified life, regardless of the stage of diagnosis or their economic background.
Vision
To be a leading support network in Puerto Rico that accompanies every person with type 1 diabetes from diagnosis and throughout their life, removing barriers to knowledge, essential supplies, and professional services that foster overall well-being.
How did Fundación Phabian Begin?
Fundación Phabian was born from the love of a Puerto Rican mother determined to turn her son’s diagnosis into a lifelong purpose. Phabian was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just one year and two months old. What began as a personal journey to understand the condition, find resources, and care for her child soon became a calling to support other families walking the same path.
We know what it feels like to have more questions than answers, how hard it can be to access essential supplies, and how lonely the process can seem. That’s why we’re here — to walk beside you.
